SPRINGDALES SCHOOL, PUSA ROAD Springdales School, Pusa Road hosted the Inter School Declamation Contest on 28th of August, 2017 as part of Delhi Literacy School’s Project pioneering initiative to promote literacy. Twenty schools from the North-West Zone participated in the event.
In her welcome address, the Principal, Mrs. Ameeta Mulla Wattal reiterated that this initiative is instrumental in bringing together like minded institutions to fulfill the objective of universalization of education.
The participants declaimed on topics pertaining to education and literacy, such as: “The need for digital literacy revolution, Does our education system inspire lifelong learning? Education is incomplete without sensitization of the Heart and many more.
The judges for the event were Mrs. Indu Banerjee, Former Headmistress of Springdales Junior school, Mrs. CharulMahendru, Head of English Department, DPS, Rohiniand Mrs. Gurvinder Kang, Former teacher of English, Air Force Bal Bharati School.
G.T.B. 3rd Centenary Public School, Mansarovar Garden was adjudged first followed by St. Thomas’ Girls Sr. Sec. School, Mandir Marg at the second position and S.S. Mota Singh Sr. Sec School, Janakpuri at the third position.
Khushi Arya and Kartik represented Springdales school in the declamation contest for the North West zone at Amity International School and bagged the first prize.
The students presented themselves confidently and their thoughts showed a promise for the future.
