SPRINGDALES SCHOOL DHAULA KUAN The school celebrated the 71st milestone of Independent India with a meaningful cultural programme on Monday, 14th August , 2017 in the School Auditorium.

Tracing the odyssey of freedom struggle from anti slavery  a movement in Rome to the French Revolution and India’s tryst with freedom Mr. Gauhar Raza, Former Chief Scientist ,Council of Scientific and Industrial Research inspired the students to translate their dreams into reality through the recital of his self composed poem. Mr. Raza reminded the students of the ‘power of idea’ which is instrumental in sculpting their destinies.

The Auditorium reverberated with the soulful rendition of patriotic song presented by the school choir . The thought provoking articles and presentations projected the challenges faced by India at 71 and the proactive role to be played by the youth  in building a secular and liberal country ‘where the mind is without fear and the head is held high’ .The finale “This land is your land” conjured up a vibrant panorama of diverse India.

 Reminiscing the relentless efforts of countless heroes and visionaries who  carved  a great nation whose strength lies in diversity and multi culturalism,Dr Jyoti Bose, Principal, Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan, advised the students to take upon their shoulders the task of building a new India  and become a beacon of a tolerance and brotherhood .
