SPRINGDALES SCHOOL DHAULA KUAN The school Auditorium reverberated with rhythm and melody as 600 talented singers came together to re-create a musical fiesta at Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan on the occasion of the Annual Inter-House Choir Festival held on Saturday, May 13th , 2017. The Chief Guest for this glittering event was Mr. Rahul Ram, renowned Musician and Member – Indian Ocean. Mr. Srijan Mahajan, Renowned Drummer – Parikrama and Old Springdalian of Golden Jubilee Batch 2005 was invited as a Guest of Honour.
Welcoming the guests to the musical extravaganza, Dr Jyoti Bose, Principal complemented the budding Springdalian singers for bagging the third position at the International Festival of Musical Creativity – “Earth is our Common Home” in Ekaterinburg, Russia.
The graceful mudras of the Kathak Dancers transported the audience into an ethereal world. Resonating the myriad hues of human emotions, the eight houses of the school wove a vibrant tapestry of musical notes through an array of songs sung in Irish,
Japanese to Italian, Bulgarian, Urdu and Hindi languages. Portraying an expansive range of languages and cultures, the Choir celebrated the universal appeal of music. It was a moment of great joy and pride as Mr. Srijan Mahajan, Ex-Springdalian accompanied the choir of 4 Houses on the drum, leaving everyone spellbound.
Mr. Rahul Ram appreciated the school for providing a rich platform to its students. His powerful and passionate rendition found an echo in the hearts of the audience and filled the auditorium with thunderous applause.
Endeavour House was awarded the First prize, Equality House and Unity House received the second and third prize respectively. Anubhav Dhyani bagged the Trophy for the Best Soloist in the Male category whereas Kheya Ghosh received the prize for the Best Solo Performer in the Female category. Muskaan Anand was adjudged the upcoming female singer.
