SPRINGDALES SCHOOL DHAULA KUAN At a scintillating confluence of world cultures “The International Children’s Festival” held at Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan, H.E. Mr. Armen Martirosyan, Ambassador of the  Republic of Armenia, Embassy of Armenia presided over as the Guest of Honour.

Welcoming the guests which included dignitaries from the Diplomatic Missions, Dr. Jyoti Bose, Director, Springdales School, expressed her relation on building an education system that recognises the acceptance and celebration of the diversity of the human race.

Held since 1989, this occasion celebrates the ideals of Shri Yudister Kumar, the architect of Springdalian Education whose vision of world governed by friendship and mutual understanding resonates in the heart of each Springdalian. With around twenty foreign students from countries across the world, Springdales has truly lived to its school motto “Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam”.

The evening wove a magnificent tapestry of the diverse and vibrant cultures of the world as the foreign students from Australia, Tanzania, Ghana, Chile, Japan, Romania and Philippines represented their country through their costumes and flags. The auditorium reverberated with a glittering cultural amalgamation of music and dance wherein the talented dancers from each unit enthralled the audience with their captivating performances. While the students from the Russian Embassy School spread the local flavours through their vibrant dance performance, the Iraqi School students urged for world peace and solidarity as they serenaded the song “Tell Me Why”.

Deeply touched by the rendition of the Armenian song presented by the Choir of Springdales School, His Excellency Mr. Martirosyan appreciated the efforts of the school for organizing such festivals which he believes would contribute better to world peace and friendship than the diplomacy alone. It was to youth that the message of long lasting peace should permeate and lauded all children and students present.
