SPRINGDALES SCHOOL DHAULA KUAN Commemorating the relentless efforts and deep commitment of the student community to uphold the beacon of literacy, The Delhi School Literacy Project celebrated its 29th Anniversary of Annual Award Giving Ceremony on 28 th April, 2017 at Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan.
Welcoming the guests on a festive morning of celebration Dr. Jyoti Bose, Principal, Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan, welcomed the guests, student volunteers and the learners.
Presenting the Awards and Certificates to the participating schools, the Chief Guest Mr. Ajay Tirkey, I.A.S., Joint Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Human
Resource Development congratulated the DSLP and its member schools on sustaining the programme. He advised them to continue their work and aim for the stars. Bhatnagar International School,Vasant Kunj bagged the Sufia Ajmali Trophy for making the largest number of literates. The Henry Selz Foundation Trophy for the school making the second largest literates was won by Springdales School, Pusa Road. The UNICEF trophy for the school showing maximum participation was won by New Era Public School, Mayapuri. The proud recipient of Baldev and Kamala Bhatia Memorial Trophy for their work in the community was Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan. The Rotary Club Trophy for the Best All Round
Performance went St. George’s School, Alaknanda. The Satpal Singh Memorial Trophy for new programs & initiatives was awarded to Evergreen Sr. Sec. School, Vasundhara Enclave. The M.L.Kapoor Memorial Trophy for excellence for the student who has made highest numbers of learners, went to Muskan Midha of Manav Sthali School, for making 160 learners.
Presenting the Annual Report, the Honourary Advisor to the DSLP and Chairperson, Springdales Education Society, Mrs. Rajni Kumar, congratulated the winners and thanked the 110 member schools and 12 donors for their constant support in making the DSLP a grand success.
Mrs. P. Loomba, Honorary Secretary, DSLP who has been working tirelessly in monitoring and guiding the project proposed the Vote of Thanks.
